My Barbie-Themed Bachelorette Party
Hello Barbie, let’s Bach Party!
Barbie has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. She represents so much more than just a doll. She symbolizes empowerment, diversity, and the endless possibilities that women can achieve. Seeing Barbie embrace diversity and break through societal norms inspired me to celebrate her in a big way for my bachelorette party. I wanted my bachelorette party to be a reflection of who I am as a person. I was tired of seeing people have the same old themes for their bachelorette parties, so I decided to do something that was uniquely me. I wanted it to be extra girly, a little vintage, playful, childish, nostalgic, and, of course, very pink.
Having a Barbie themed bachelorette party allowed me to relive my childhood and embrace my love for all things pink and glamorous.
From the decorations to the outfits, everything screamed Barbie. We had pink cocktails, Barbie-inspired desserts, and even a photo booth with Barbie props. It was like stepping into a life-size Barbie dream world. Not only was it a fun and playful theme, but it also served as a reminder of the strength and resilience that Barbie represents. She has always encouraged girls to dream big, believe in themselves, and never be afraid to go after what they want. And as I embarked on this new chapter of my life, I wanted to carry that spirit of empowerment with me. Safe to say, it was truly a bachelorette party like no other.
PALM SPRINGS
Palm Springs holds such a special place in my heart, so this was a no brainer for me. As a California girl, I grew up visiting Palm Springs and fell in love with its charm, beauty, and desert oasis vibes.
I wanted my closest friends and family to experience the magic of Palm Springs with me before I embarked on this new chapter of my life as a married woman. And what better way to celebrate than by renting a big, huge house that could accommodate all 19 of my favorite people? With a massive pool, multiple dining areas, bikes, and even a tennis court, the house we chose was nothing short of epic. It had everything we could possibly need or want. We didn't even feel the need to leave the premises because we had everything right there. As someone who loves staying in, this was heaven for me. We spent our days lounging by the pool, having fun on the bikes, and even playing tennis. The house truly had it all.
Being able to celebrate with my closest girls and gays in my favorite place, surrounded by the beauty of Palm Springs, made my bachelorette party a truly unforgettable experience. It was the perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and quality time with the people I love most. I couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the festivities before my wedding day.
Events
My cousins, best friend, and sister-in-law planned the most perfect weekend for me. They put so much thought into every aspect of the weekend, making sure it was tailored to my tastes and preferences. They incorporated all of my favorite things, from the decorations to the food and even the music playlist. It was like they had taken a glimpse into my soul and transformed it into a bachelorette weekend.
One day, we had a very California Barbie pool party, complete with visors, matching bathing suits, and all of the fun boy Barbie themed floats you could dream of. That night we did an intimate sushi dinner under the stars that was a night I will never forget the category that night was neon Barbie. The next day we did a Barbie Bridgerton drag brunch because this Barbie is an inclusive, progressive Barbie, who likes to party, and appreciates performances by true artist, who are confident and love, showing the world who they are, and what they want to do. We were served custom cocktails poolside, including my favorite frozen drinks and also given poolside massages.
For our seated brunch and dinner, I created place cards that had an inside joke or favorite memory, with each guest written on it with their name. We went around the table for literally six hours enjoying our Omakase dinner under the stars and started the night by going around reading each of their place cards and reliving those special memories that I’ve had with each guest. They each went around shared their favorite memory that we’ve had together.
It was so special having people there who I’ve known for 36 years to your friends, who have you down for 3-5 years. I can’t explain how special it is to see so many people you love from so many different stages in words real life come together to celebrate you, but also to forged new friendships.
