Baby Girl Nursery Planning 101 - Everything I’ve Ordered
Putting together a nursery has been one of the most special parts of preparing for our baby’s arrival this February. Every single item we’ve chosen holds a purpose—whether it’s practical, sentimental, or just something I fell in love with. Here’s a walk-through of everything we ordered and why we picked it. Hopefully, this gives you some inspiration if you’re in the same stage of preparation!
1. Evelyn Bow Valance Curtain
I wanted something soft and sweet for the windows, and these curtains from Pottery Barn Kids were an instant yes. The bow details add such a lovely, feminine touch, and they filter light beautifully to keep the room feeling cozy without being too dark. Plus, I just couldn’t resist how adorable they are!
2. Hydrangea Mirror
This mirror from Pottery Barn Kids is one of my favorite pieces. The delicate floral detailing makes it feel like a statement without being too overpowering, and it’s going to look perfect above the dresser. It’s both functional and such a pretty accent for the space.
3. Daisy Felt Mobile
Handcrafted and absolutely dreamy, this daisy mobile by Nestig is a total showstopper. Soft wool blooms gently sway above the crib, keeping your baby mesmerized while adding a whimsical touch to the overall aesthetic. Trust us, this mobile is nursery goals.
4. Embroidered Quilt
This personalized embroidered quilt from Aerin x Pottery Barn Kids is equal parts sentimental and snuggly. With delicate woodland motifs and customizable embroidery, it’s destined to become a cherished keepsake—not to mention it’s perfect for tummy time or layering on chilly nights. The carousel detail is my absolute favorite.
5. Convertible Crib
The Nestig convertible crib was a no-brainer for us. I love that it grows with your baby, starting as a mini crib and expanding into a full-size one. The sage green color feels fresh and unique while still being neutral enough to work with other decor. It’s such a smart and stylish investment.
6. Watercolor Rug
I’m bringing the room together with this pastel ombre rug from Pottery Barn Kids. The subtle gradient hues are soothing and pair beautifully with the other design elements. Plus, it’s plush enough for those first crawling adventures and adds a layer of cozy texture to the floor.
7. Paxton Recliner Chair
I knew we needed a comfortable chair for late-night feeds, and this boucle recliner from Pottery Barn Kids checked all the boxes. It’s simple and modern but still super cozy, and the reclining feature is a total game-changer for those moments when I just need to put my feet up.
8. Sloane Changing Table Dresser
This changing table dresser from Pottery Barn Kids is both beautiful and functional. I love the clean white finish with the gold accents, and the storage space is more than enough for all the essentials. It’s a piece I know we’ll use well beyond the diaper phase.
